Understanding your Nanny
We at Vamos a Canada
are also parents. We care for our own children and
are constantly worrying about their health and safety.
We know exactly what families, just like ours, are
looking for.
We are continuously searching the globe for the best
caregivers. Most of our caregivers come from Latin
America and speak Spanish, English and in some cases
even French. A majority of our nannies are hold nursing
degrees in their home countries, and the ones who
are not have other relevant experience in providing
care.
Advantages of having a caregiver:
- You will not have to
burden other family members to care for your loved
ones
- Your loved one will
be cared for in the comfort of your own home
- Your home will be looked
after during the week so you can enjoy more spare
time
- Most daycare centers
will not take your child if they are ill, which might
leave you scrambling for plan 'B'
- If you have 2 or more
children, the cost of having a nanny is considerably
cheaper than daycare
Live-in
Caregiver Program
Important: The information on this page
is an overview of the program. It is not intended
to be a complete guide and may change without further
notice.
What is a caregiver?
A Caregiver is a person qualified to care for children,
the elderly and persons with special needs. In Canada,
there is a shortage of qualified caregivers. For this
reason the Live-in Caregiver Program was created.
Through this initiative we assist qualified foreign
caregivers in relocating to care for Canadian families
in the comfort of their own homes.
What
we offer:
All families have different childcare requirements
and it is our aim to accommodate those and find the
perfect caregiver for you. Once the caregiver registers
and completes our thorough screening process we build
their profile. It will be promoted to our participating
families. If the family approves the profile, then
we will facilitate the interview process.
Should a family choose to hire the caregiver, we will
coordinate with both parties to obtain the work permit.
If the employment relationship, between the family
and the caregiver is terminated for cause, during
the work term, then we will find another caregiver
for the family and we can match the caregiver with
another registered family.
